Project Description
Details that make a difference in safeguarding people and the environment.
Caring for people, for nature and for the environment around us involves even things that might seem like unimportant details.
JVP sometimes makes use of substances in its manufacturing cycle that are potentially hazardous, but always adopting every possible precautionary measure to safeguard the health of people.
In practice, certain of these substances cannot be eliminated from the manufacturing process, and it is in these cases that we invest time and resources in seeking out less aggressive but equally functional and effective alternatives for the purpose in hand.
The water-based adhesive we use, for example, requires small amounts — less than 7 grams per single panel — of a catalyst classified as presenting health hazards, including those indicated by the GHS08 (‘star in chest’) symbol, among which is the risk of carcinogenicity. Following years of research, in September 2023 we finally succeeded in identifying a new catalyst having a lower risk impact but guaranteeing the technical performance necessary for the application.
Minor details? No such thing for us here at JVP. We take every care, make every commitment, along with co-workers, suppliers and customers, in researching and developing the solutions best able tomaximize performance while preserving the health and balance of planet Earth.
