Who said a floor can only support? With our JVP 4×4 raised flooring system, we’ve shown that it can inspire, move, and even tell the story of an entire country.
From this vision came a bold and truly unique project: a flooring installation that reproduces the map of Italy with precision and powerful symbolism, transforming an architectural element into a contemporary work of art.
A project of cultural and symbolic value
Conceived by Studio Folder in collaboration with the Triennale di Milano and the Museum of Contemporary Photography, the installation has already made its mark in prestigious settings like Milan and Rome. After astonishing visitors in Milan and Rome, the installation is now looking for a new house.
The value of detail
The entire work is supported by JVP 4×4 technology, our raised flooring system designed to deliver stability, precision, and versatility—even in the most challenging contexts. In this case, it played a key role in achieving the perfect geometric rendering of Italy, while providing the flexibility needed for a complex artistic installation.
Where architecture meets art
This project shows how a technical product can become a vehicle for creativity and meaning. The floor is no longer just a functional element—it becomes a narrative space, an identity-rich surface, a work to be observed and experienced.
